We are delighted to welcome you to Lago Enoteca, a fine dining establishment specializing in authentic regional Italian cuisine using the finest locally-sourced and Italian imported ingredients. Enjoy homemade pastas made from local and imported hard wheat, and classic dishes crafted with care, paired with our extensive local, regional and imported wines.
At Lago Enoteca we offer a traditional multi-course Italian dining experience. A traditional Italian dinner consists of five or seven courses and spans over one to two hours. Each course is designed to be enjoyed slowly, allowing time to savor the flavors and appreciate the company at the table. The progression from antipasto to coffee reflects the Italian approach to dining as a social and sensory experience.
It is an event; entertainment as much as dinner.
Lago Enoteca’s unique wine bar and tasting lounge concept provides a relaxed, upscale wine sampling experience like no other in the Grand River Valley. A wine flight may include local wines as well as regional, national and fine wines from around the world in a single flight, for comparing and contrasting. Our cocktails are just as unique and special as our menu items. All are hand crafted using only the best spirits.
Lago Cellars offers our Enoteca guests our own private label premium wines. Each of the wines bearing the Lago Cellars name is a unique and special representation from the Grand River Valley AVA. Lago Cellars Wines are available exclusively at Lago Enoteca and may be enjoyed in a tasting flight, by the glass, by the bottle with dinner, or purchased from our wine shop to enjoy at home or give as a gift.
Lago Enoteca’s wine shop offers a curated collection of hundreds of local, domestic and imported wines from some of the premier wine-growing regions from around the world for enjoying on-site or take out.

Meet Chef Alex
Alex Asteinza, Executive Chef, Director of Operations, Sommelier, has over 25 years of restaurant operations experience in New York City, Miami, South America and Northeast Ohio.
He developed his passion for the tastes of Italy while growing up in an Italian neighborhood in New York City.
Asteinza was the previous owner/operator of Rennick Meat Market in Ashtabula from 2013–2020, executive chef at Cafe Luxembourg in New York City, a Parisian-style bistro in the Upper West Side, and held various other executive chef positions over the past 25+ years.
Overall, Chef Alex is passionate about high quality ingredients and service excellence. “We want people to be able to come in frequently and have a good time. The menu and the tasting menu will be constantly changing. There’s always going to be fun, new and exciting things going on.”
